Project Spotlight: Northville, MI
Northville Subfloor Leveling
Precision SLU Engineering for 8-Inch Wide-Plank Walnut
Engineering a flawless, glass-like subfloor to meet strict NWFA flatness tolerances for custom wide-plank hardwood.
Project Overview
The Blueprint: Prep, Prime, Pour.
The Challenge
Preparing a bare plywood subfloor to receive a custom 8-inch wide engineered Walnut by Michigan Plank. Wide planks require absolutely zero deflection and perfect flatness to prevent failure.
The Solution
Application of a specialized blue bonding primer over the bare plywood to ensure permanent adhesion, followed by a premium Self-Leveling Underlayment (SLU) pour.
The Technology
Utilization of a specialized needle roller during the pour to break surface tension, release trapped air bubbles, and guarantee a perfectly smooth, glass-like cure.
The Engineering Process
Flawless Execution.
