Project Spotlight: Ann Arbor, MI
Ann Arbor Subfloor Leveling
1.5-Inch SLU Pour Over Contaminated Concrete
Engineering a flawless foundation and ensuring 100% silica dust control for a complex residential subfloor restoration.
Project Overview
The Blueprint: Seal, Prime, Pour.
The Challenge
Deep structural sagging requiring a massive 1.5-inch leveling correction across a highly compromised bare plywood subfloor. The floor was riddled with thousands of old nail holes from a previous tear-out, presenting a massive leak risk for liquid underlayment.
The Solution
Our 8-man crew executed a meticulous 4-day prep phase just to seal the floor and plug every single hole. We then performed a precision engineered pour using premium Schönox Self-Leveling Underlayment to bring the entire floor into strict NWFA flatness tolerances.
The Technology & Safety
Mixing this volume of cementitious material creates hazardous silica dust. We utilized on site HEPA-filtered Collomix stations partnering directly with Schönox regional management on site to guarantee zero airborne silica reached the homeowner's living space.
The Engineering Process
Precision Execution & Dust Control.
