The Floor: 4¼ Inch Solid Northern Hickory by Mercier

Why hickory? It is among the hardest common domestic species, which makes it a sensible choice for kitchens and rooms that see daily traffic. Hickory also has strong natural color variation, so light and dark boards sit side by side and give the floor plenty of movement.

    The Color: Mercier Roma

Roma is a warm brown in Mercier's hickory range. Next to white cabinets and trim it keeps the room bright while the grain of the hickory still shows. You can see Mercier hickory in Roma and the rest of the Mercier collection in our Livonia showroom.
